Hailey Bieber has broken her silence regarding widespread speculation that she would utilize funds from her company, Rhode, to cover her husband Justin Bieber’s legal settlement with Scooter Braun.
The 28-year-old model’s spokesperson categorically denied the rumors, which suggested she would pay the “Baby” singer’s multimillion-dollar debt to his former manager, a payment allegedly delayed until her skincare brand’s sale was finalized.
According to a recent report by Daily Mail, Hailey’s representative informed the outlet that Hailey’s business deal and Justin’s financial dispute are entirely separate matters. “The historic sale of Rhode is a huge accomplishment for Hailey,” the rep stated. “And is completely separate from her husband and his business affairs,” the statement further clarified.
These statements come in response to earlier reports by TMZ, which claimed that Justin Bieber lacked the immediate funds to repay his loan to Braun, but settled the dispute as soon as Hailey’s deal was finalized.
It’s relevant to note that the substantial amount in question is part of a $40 million advance the singer received from AEG Presents for his 2022 “Justice” tour. When the tour was ultimately canceled, Braun’s company, HYBE, stepped in to cover the cost for AEG. Bieber had reportedly agreed to repay HYBE but is said to have made only one payment.
A tipster also revealed to the outlet that Bieber will pay an additional $5.5 million, representing half of an $11 million sum in unpaid commissions he owed Braun. This brings the total settlement payment to approximately $31.5 million.
