On Thursday, according to the Station House Officer (SHO) of Utla, gunmen opened fire at the Utla Police Station in Swabi, resulting in injuries to two police officers.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) stated that police responded with gunfire, and additional personnel have been dispatched to the location.
An ongoing exchange of fire continues between the armed assailants and the police.

In a separate incident, unidentified armed men continued heavy firing and explosions throughout Friday in the Mangchar area of Balochistan’s Kalat district, claiming the life of a Levies officer and disrupting daily life and traffic on the Quetta-Karachi national highway.
According to Levies officials, the attackers launched a coordinated assault across multiple parts of the Mangchar region, including an attack on a Levies post in Kot Langove, where a Levies officer was killed. His body was subsequently transported to the Rural Health Centre (RHC) in Mangchar.
Concurrently, a significant explosion occurred beneath a bridge situated on the national highway in Rahimabad, Mangchar. Authorities reported minor structural damage to the bridge but confirmed that the blast caused no casualties.
