As the hype for Grand Theft Auto 6 continues to escalate, fans are eagerly seeking any hint of a second trailer.
The latest rumor suggests that Rockstar Games will release the next trailer on April 1, 2025—April Fool’s Day—based on an in-game t-shirt in GTA Online. But is this a genuine clue or merely wishful thinking?
The theory originates from a grey t-shirt in GTA Online called the “One Day Will Reveal All” shirt. Around its border, players have noticed a set of numbers, including 040125, which fans speculate could indicate a trailer release on April 1, 2025.
This isn’t the first instance of fans connecting this shirt to GTA 6 news. Previously, the number 12523 was believed to hint at a December 5, 2023, release for the first trailer—and it was close, as Rockstar released it on December 4. This has fueled speculation that the shirt contains more hidden messages regarding future announcements.
Despite the shirt’s previous accuracy, an April 1 release seems improbable. Rockstar Games typically builds anticipation before major releases rather than dropping surprises without warning. Moreover, April Fool’s Day is known for pranks, making it an unlikely choice for a serious game reveal.
Furthermore, Rockstar has remained completely silent since the first trailer, with no official confirmation of a second trailer’s release date. Given GTA 6’s late 2025 launch window, a second trailer is expected in the coming months, but April 1 is likely just another fan-driven theory rather than an actual hint from Rockstar.
If Rockstar follows the marketing timeline of Red Dead Redemption 2, the second trailer could arrive around mid-to-late 2024. However, considering GTA 6’s lack of updates since December 2023, a longer wait—or even a potential delay—cannot be ruled out.
For now, fans will have to await an official announcement. And while an April Fool’s Day drop would be amusing, it seems unlikely that Rockstar would use such a prank-heavy date for its next major reveal.
