Security sources have indicated that a considerable number of individuals affected by terrorism linked to the Khawarij insurgency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are now turning their backs on extremism.
Furthermore, the family and tribal members of the terrorists killed in Dera Ismail Khan have publicly distanced themselves from these violent elements.
According to detailed reports, on April 15, 2025, security forces conducted an operation in the Kalachi area of Dera Ismail Khan, resulting in the deaths of four foreign nationals. Among the neutralized terrorists was Khazri Huzaifa, also known as Usman, a foreign national belonging to the Ranazai tribe.
In a video message, Huzaifa’s mother stated, “Huzaifa, also known as Usman, was my son. He was killed by the army. My son was disobedient to both his father and me. We made numerous attempts to reason with him. His father repeatedly scolded him, but our words had no impact.”
Defense analysts have pointed out that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have shown increasing resistance against the Khawarij sedition, as evidenced by several recent occurrences.
The Khawarij insurgency is exploiting young Pakistani tribal youth for their terror-related activities.
The statement issued by the mother of the deceased terrorist Huzaifa represents a significant setback for the Khawarij movement.
Expressions of indifference and similar pronouncements from the parents of other terrorists associated with the Khawarij insurgency clearly demonstrate the public’s escalating rejection of terrorism.
The experts asserted, “The terrorists of the Khawarij sedition, cloaked in the guise of religion, are the outright adversaries of the Pakistani people.”
“The public must recognize the abhorrent nature of this movement and safeguard their children from falling prey to its deceptive propaganda. This underscores that terrorism has no place within Pakistan,” the experts affirmed.
