A former assistant to Sean “Diddy” Combs has provided testimony against the rapper in the third week of his ongoing sex trafficking trial.
Taking the stand in a New York court, the second witness in the case recounted instances of violent outbursts from the Bad Boy Records founder, as reported by the BBC.
The woman tearfully alleged that she was subjected to repeated sexual assaults during her eight years of employment under him.
“I couldn’t tell him no about a sandwich,” she stated. “I couldn’t tell him no about anything.”
Combs’ legal team has not yet had the opportunity to cross-examine Mia or respond to her claims.
Mia testified that she began working for the music mogul as a personal assistant in 2009 when she was in her mid-20s, describing the work environment as “chaotic” and “toxic.”
Her job required her to be “always within eyesight” of Combs, she testified, adding that she was tasked with “anticipating his needs, whims, and moods.”
She stated that she was often required to stay at his residences, where she was unable to lock doors or leave without the rapper’s explicit permission.
On two separate occasions, Combs allegedly threw objects at her, including a spaghetti bowl and his computer, which narrowly missed her head, Mia told the court.
Mia also recounted a holiday trip she took with Combs and his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura to Turks and Caicos, she informed the court.
Late one night during that trip, Ventura allegedly ran into Mia’s room screaming that Combs was “going to kill me,” she testified. They then fled and concealed themselves on the beach, she said.
Mia further recalled an evening in 2013 when the disgraced rapper was banging on Ventura’s door in Los Angeles.
She testified that he assaulted her and caused a cut above her eyebrow when he threw her onto a bed frame. Mia told the court that she attempted to jump on Combs’ back, but he subsequently threw her against a wall.
Mia stated to the court that despite witnessing Combs’ abusive behavior towards Ventura, she feared reporting him because she “believed that Puff’s authority was above the police.”
She also testified about multiple alleged instances where Combs sexually assaulted her, including one occasion when she claimed she awoke to him attempting to rape her.
