The government has decided to begin mango exports starting from May 25. The Ministry of Commerce has issued a circular concerning mango exports for the 2025 season, confirming that the existing regulations for mango exports under the Export Policy Order will remain in effect.
The export commencement date was determined through discussions with the stakeholders committee.
It is important to note that Pakistan exports approximately 130,000 metric tons of mangoes on an annual basis. In the previous year, Pakistan generated over $90 million in foreign exchange earnings from mango exports.
Pakistani mangoes are exported to a variety of countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Iran, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
