The price of gold in Pakistan and globally has reached new record highs, with the rate climbing to its highest level ever in the country.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola saw a massive increase of Rs6,000 on Wednesday, reaching Rs376,700. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs5,144, bringing it to Rs322,959.
The global gold market also experienced a significant surge, with the price of gold per ounce climbing by $60 to reach $3,540. Silver prices in Pakistan followed a similar trend; the price of one tola of 24-karat silver increased by Rs12 to reach Rs4,315, and the price for 10 grams of silver rose to Rs3,699.
