After a period of significant fluctuation and sharp increases last month, the first day of the new month has brought a minor easing for gold buyers.
According to figures released by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola in the domestic market experienced a decrease of 1,600 rupees today.
Following this reduction, the new official rate for one tola of gold now stands at 422,562 rupees.
This drop provides some relief, especially as it comes just one day after a major surge of 5,300 rupees had pushed the price up to 424,162 rupees. This ongoing volatility has kept both investors and ordinary consumers on edge.
The trend in the domestic market mirrors the international one. In the global market, the price of gold also fell by $16, bringing the new price to $4,002 per ounce.
