Actor Glen Powell, who has been starring in recent films like Anyone But You and Twisters, and the upcoming The Running Man, spoke to GQ Magazine about his newfound success.
Powell expressed his excitement, stating, “This is cool. I have wanted to do this since I was a kid, and it’s awesome.” He compared his journey to that of actors from previous generations, noting, “When you look at actors of yesteryear, if they’re hitting at 36, they look like Gene Hackman in The Royal Tenenbaums.”
The actor also touched upon the topic of health and wellness, particularly among men. He believes there’s a shift in how men are approaching this space, a change he feels is “becoming a little bit more in vogue.”
To illustrate this, Powell shared a personal practice: “When I go back to Los Angeles, when I socialise and bring guys together, instead of just going, ‘Hey, let’s all go grab a drink,’ a lot of times I’ll just bring ’em all to a sauna and I’ll just load all my buddies in a sauna.” He noted that this is appreciated by his friends and encouraged others to “Go sauna and cold plunge together.”
