Nine outlaws were killed in a major joint security operation conducted by the Police and Rangers in Ronti, a notorious riverine ‘Kacha’ area of Ghotki district in Sindh. The operation was launched to dismantle the stronghold of criminal elements terrorizing the region.
The decisive action was triggered by a brutal attack carried out by the Kacha bandits just yesterday. That bloody incident resulted in the tragic deaths of at least seven individuals, including a police official, and left fourteen others injured. The recent spate of violence underscores the extremely fragile law and order situation in this remote area.
Authorities stated that the operation was initiated to target the dens of these bandits and re-establish the writ of the state. The Kacha region has historically served as a hideout for dacoits, who use it as a base to execute kidnappings for ransom and other severe crimes.
Security sources confirmed that the bodies of the nine bandits have been recovered, and the extensive search operation across the area is still underway. While this operation has brought some relief to the local population, who have long lived under the shadow of fear, restoring permanent peace and stability to this volatile region remains a significant challenge.
