Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, has visited Bangladesh, where he held an important meeting with the Chief of the Bangladesh Army.
According to the military’s media wing (ISPR), both leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive progress in defense cooperation between the two nations. They also agreed to continue regular visits at the senior military leadership level.
During the meeting, the current global and regional security situation was discussed. Both sides emphasized the need to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between the armed forces of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Furthermore, the conversation covered topics such as military training, conducting joint exercises, and sharing experiences, especially in the field of counter-terrorism.
The ISPR added that both sides also expressed concern over the growing challenges of false information and divisive propaganda campaigns. They agreed to strengthen their mutual cooperation and joint strategy to counter these modern threats.
