Israel has handed over the bodies of 30 more Palestinians to authorities in Gaza, continuing a deeply somber exchange.
Sources at the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis confirmed they had received the remains. This transfer is part of an agreement reached in Egypt.
Under the terms of the deal, for every one Israeli hostage body returned by Hamas, Israel returns the bodies of 15 Palestinians.
This latest handover of 30 bodies corresponds to the two Israeli hostage bodies that Hamas returned just yesterday.
In total, 225 Palestinian bodies have now been returned to Gaza since the agreement began.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military reports that the bodies of 11 Israelis are still being held in Gaza, suggesting this grim process is not yet over.
