The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has strongly refuted reports of a fuel shortage in the country, which had caused public concern.
In a clarifying statement, an OGRA spokesperson acknowledged that there was a “temporary delay” in the clearance of imported petroleum products. However, the spokesperson clarified that the issue has been resolved, and ships carrying PSO (diesel) and Wafi (petrol) have been cleared.
The spokesperson assured the public that fuel distribution across the country is proceeding as usual, and business activities related to petroleum products are continuing uninterrupted. According to the statement, “full control” has been established over the fuel supply.
