Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty has successfully transitioned from a period of intense public scrutiny into a thriving entrepreneur, establishing a significant presence in the business world. The 33-year-old actress, who stepped away from acting following the media turmoil and public backlash surrounding the death of her fellow actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has built an apparel brand valued at ₹40 crore in less than a year.
Determined to rebuild her life and career, Rhea Chakraborty launched a podcast in 2024, followed by an online clothing brand under the same name. Despite starting with an initial investment of ₹1 crore, her efforts and business acumen quickly propelled the brand’s valuation to a remarkable ₹40 crore. Following this online success, the actress has now opened the brand’s first physical store in Mumbai’s Bandra area.
In a recent interview, Rhea Chakraborty shared the inspiration behind her business venture. She recounted a pivotal moment during her arrest, stating, “What was written on my shirt did the talking for me,” realizing that the clothing became an expression of her stance. She said that this moment made her realize that “clothing can be a medium of expression.”
She further explained that after her career line was disrupted following her arrest—when acting calls stopped coming—she chose to become the voice of people. By establishing her brand on this philosophy, she created a new pathway for her professional return.
