Frank Grillo, the star of Peacemaker, is sharing his honest thoughts on his experience working with DC and Marvel, which he describes as “different.” The 60-year-old actor candidly discussed the major factors that set the two big studios apart.
For those unfamiliar, Frank starred as Rick Flag Sr. in the DC Universe and portrayed Brock Rumlow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Speaking exclusively to People Magazine, he highlighted a key difference in the approach each studio takes.
At the Peacemaker Season 2 premiere, he shared, “It’s different. It’s not organized in the same way.” The Superman actor revealed, “[DC] is really like all the scripts are in front of you and you kind of have a real secure handle on what’s happening. And there’s nothing wrong with it,” he remarked.
“But [Marvel] was a little fly by the seat of your pants,” Frank noted. Although the Boss Level star mentioned that Marvel’s approach was “done very well,” he confessed that it can sometimes feel “scary” to some actors, including himself.
Since Frank played soldiers in both universes and had good onscreen fights, when asked which one was better, he quickly replied, “I had no problem beating the crap out of either one of them.” He added, “I mean … I don’t know. They were both easy pickings.”
