According to the Federal Bureau of Statistics, a 1.92 percent reduction in inflation was recorded last week.
The bureau has released its latest weekly inflation figures, revealing a decrease in the prices of several essential items, while others experienced an increase.
Last week, the prices of eighteen items declined, while twenty-two items remained stable. On an annual basis, inflation reached minus 3.52 percent.
According to the Bureau of Statistics, eighteen essential items became less expensive, while eleven became more expensive. The prices of 22 items remained unchanged. The report detailed an 11.75 percent decrease in the price of live broiler chicken, while wheat flour became cheaper by 5.68 percent.
The price of garlic dropped by 4.66 percent, bananas saw a decrease of 3.51 percent, onions fell by 1.93 percent, and rice became cheaper by 1.58 percent. Mustard oil, tomatoes, electricity, and LPG also experienced price reductions.
Conversely, potatoes became 6.94 percent more expensive, and the price of eggs rose by 0.66 percent last week. Jaggery, curd, lentils, chickpeas, and cigarettes also saw an increase in their prices.
