A domestic dispute in Muzaffargarh has ended in a devastating tragedy, shattering a family after a disagreement escalated to violence.
The horrific incident took place in the Bait Mullan Wali area of Tehsil Alipur, where a man allegedly attacked his own mother and younger brother with an axe. The assault was so severe that the younger brother died from his injuries, while the mother was left seriously wounded.
According to police officials, the suspect, who is the elder brother of the deceased, managed to flee the scene immediately after committing the crime.
Police have shed light on the motives behind the brutal attack, citing two primary reasons for the dispute. Firstly, the suspect reportedly wanted to marry a person of his choice, which the family did not approve of. Secondly, the situation intensified when the suspect attempted to take possession of family land, leading to a bitter argument with his mother and brother that ultimately resulted in the violent attack.
The injured mother and the body of the deceased young man have been moved to the Taluka Headquarters (THQ) Hospital in Alipur. Local police have registered a case and initiated legal proceedings, and a search is underway to arrest the fugitive suspect.
