In the latest development, Ayaz Sadiq, the Speaker of the National Assembly, revealed that he too has received a fake traffic ticket. Sadiq explained that someone had attempted to scam him by using his recorded voice to ask another individual for money, but when the latter contacted Sadiq, he denied having made the request.
This is not an isolated incident, as many citizens have come forward to share their own experiences with fake traffic tickets. Azhar Hussain, a concerned citizen, stated that he had checked his traffic ticket through an app and discovered that it was a fake. The ticket was issued for speeding, but when he checked the speed limit signs, he found that they were not installed on the date mentioned on the ticket.
In a separate incident, a woman was injured when her car collided with a dumper truck in Karachi. The accident occurred near the Port Qasim Wireless Gate. Several motorways in Punjab were closed due to dense fog, while severe snowfall and landslides have disrupted communication in several areas of the country.
The issue of fake traffic tickets has sparked concerns among lawmakers, with some calling for an investigation. Federal Interior Minister Tahir Ashrafi stated that the government is taking steps to raise awareness about the issue and crack down on this organized crime ring. He added that the government is investigating the matter and will take necessary action against those responsible.
In other news, a water tanker killed a five-year-old child in Karachi’s Baldia Town area. The tanker’s driver fled the scene. A case has been registered against the driver.
