Experts from Pakistan have expressed concerns that if the US launches an attack on Iran, the Iranian regime may become even stronger. This statement was made by analysts Shahzad Iqbal, Muzaffar Abbas, Muhmal Srfaraz, and Arshad Bhatti during a discussion on the Geo News program “Report Card.”
According to the details, the program host, Alina Farooq, asked the analysts if the US’s pressure on Iran would create space for negotiations. In response, Shahzad Iqbal said that it is challenging to make any predictions about Trump’s actions, as he has made contradictory decisions in the past. Iran, on the other hand, has repeatedly offered to negotiate on a range of issues, including its nuclear program.
Muzaffar Abbas commented that Trump’s actions are influenced by his party’s position and that of his successor, Joe Biden. Abbas noted that the US midterm elections are approaching, and Trump’s party is facing a tough challenge. However, Abbas added that Trump’s decisions are also influenced by the views of others, including his advisor, Jared Kushner.
The analysts also discussed the controversy surrounding a leaked audio message allegedly featuring Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary Information, Sheikh Waqas Akram. The cricketer-turned-politician was released from the Pakistan team ahead of the remaining two matches against Australia.
Meanwhile, the French Embassy in Pakistan has congratulated Pakistan’s last French newspaper vendor, Ali Akbar, on receiving an award. Additionally, Ali Tareen, the former owner of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) team, Multan Sultans, has been named in the list of nominees for the award.
In other news, Vivian Oberoi had accused Salman Khan of threatening him over the Ashwarya Rai controversy in 2003. Imran Khan, the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, has released a statement regarding the leaked audio message featuring Sheikh Waqas Akram.
