Royal commentator Daniela Elser recently reflected on the impact of Prince Archie’s birthday photograph and its underlying implications.
Her complete perspective was shared in an article for News.com.au.
In it, the expert addressed Prince Archie’s isolation, his detachment from his royal heritage, and even what she described as a ‘gloomy’ outlook for his adult life.
Ms. Elser suggests that one must “consider this week’s photo of Archie on his birthday in contrast to the very first images the world ever saw of him.”
Those initial images showed “him with the late Queen and Prince Philip in a picture taken within the very traditional setting of the royal family, Windsor Castle.”
This contrast highlights that “now, Archie’s only opportunity to return to the thousand-year-old castle is if he is willing to pay the £20 tourist admission and join the slow-moving stream of gum-chewing tourists gazing at all the Van Dyck paintings.”
In essence, “the new photograph of six-year-old Archie presents a rather somber picture.”
Furthermore, “it serves as a stark reminder of how irreparably and painfully things fell apart for the Sussexes and the royal family in a shorter period than it takes for a Dundee cake to expire,” she noted before concluding her piece.
