Following the death of his accuser Virginia Giuffre, experts have come forward with their counsel, alongside demands directed at Prince Andrew. One such expert is Ingrid Seward, the editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine.
According to The Sun, she believes that “now would be the opportune moment for him to step forward with courage and express some compassionate words. This is the time for him to honor the commitment he made several years ago to assist and support victims of sexual abuse.”
For those who may be unaware, Prince Andrew co-founded the Anti-Slavery Collective with his daughter Princess Eugenie, an organization dedicated to combating the trafficking of women.
She further added, “In doing so, it must not appear to be a mere publicity stunt; it needs to originate from the heart, from a place of genuine empathy.”
This is because “The fact that Virginia Giuffre has taken her own life is a tragedy. She had a family, she was very wealthy, yet she was clearly haunted by the abuse she endured as a teenager.”
“And I fear that if Prince Andrew does not come forward to acknowledge her death, he will face significant criticism.” Ultimately, “this is his crucial moment, and he needs to seize it wholeheartedly,” Ms. Seward acknowledged.
Furthermore, “if Andrew believes that Virginia’s death brings closure to this entire affair, then there is truly not much hope for him. If he possesses any sense, he must demonstrate compassion, he must respond to Virginia’s death, and do so promptly,” because “This could mark the beginning of his redemption.” However, “if there is no response, the silence will be deafening,” she concluded.
