The drama surrounding the Indian reality show ‘Bigg Boss 19’ has moved beyond the house walls and into the legal arena. The family of contestant Farhana Bhatt has issued a legal notice demanding ₹1 crore in damages from Roshen Gire Bhandari, the aunt of music director Amaal Mallik, for allegedly referring to Farhana as a “terrorist.”
According to Indian media reports, while tension brews inside the Bigg Boss house between Farhana Bhatt and Amaal Mallik, a controversial public statement made by Roshen Gire Bhandari has dramatically escalated the feud, prompting Farhana’s family to take swift legal action.
Allegations and Legal Action:
The legal notice, served by Farhana Bhatt’s family, targets Roshen Gire Bhandari, the YouTube channel ‘Fee Fa FoZ’, and ‘YouTube India’. The notice alleges that Roshen Gire Bhandari severely damaged Farhana’s reputation by calling her a ‘terrorist’ during an interview.
In a statement issued by Farhana’s lawyer:
“The family is deeply shocked by Roshen’s statement, and we have taken the legal route with dignity and respect, instead of indulging in mud-slinging on social media.”
Demands:
The legal notice includes the following demands:
- Immediate removal of the controversial video.
- A public, unconditional apology from Roshen Gire Bhandari.
- Payment of ₹1 crore in damages to compensate for the harm done to Farhana Bhatt’s reputation.
It is noteworthy that last month, Roshen Gire Bhandari stated in an interview that Farhana was a “demon and terrorist who laughs after drinking the blood of others.” Sources suggest that if Roshen Gire Bhandari fails to apologize, Farhana’s family is prepared to file a formal lawsuit against her in court. Copies of the notice have also been sent to the National Commission for Women and the Maharashtra State Women Commission.
