As the sacred month of Ramadan draws to a close, the official Eid Al Fitr prayer timings for the UAE will be released on Saturday, March 29, by the moon-sighting committee. Eid prayers are customarily performed 15 to 20 minutes after sunrise.
Mohammed Musabeh Ali Dhahi, Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector and General Coordinator of Ramadan Initiatives in Dubai, confirmed that the official timings will be disseminated to both the media and the public upon announcement.
While the definitive schedule remains pending, Dubai-based scholar Sheikh Ayaz Housee, Imam at NGS and Khateeb at Al Manar Centre, has projected that Eid prayers in Dubai will commence at 6:20 AM. Based on comparable calculations, Sharjah and Ajman are anticipated to hold prayers at 6:19 AM, while Abu Dhabi is likely to begin prayers at 6:22 AM. However, these times are provisional until the authorities issue the finalized schedule.
Over 680 Prayer Locations Ready in Dubai
The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) has disclosed that more than 680 mosques and prayer halls across Dubai are prepared to accommodate Eid prayers. This encompasses 14 large prayer areas in key locations and 668 smaller mosques within residential areas to serve worshippers and alleviate congestion.
Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director-General of IACAD, articulated that specialized teams have implemented a comprehensive plan in collaboration with government agencies and volunteers. “This plan will facilitate crowd management, ensure seamless entry and exit, and provide assistance to the elderly and individuals with disabilities,” he stated.
With preparations in full swing, worshippers throughout the UAE eagerly await the final announcement to celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid Al Fitr.
