On Monday, an earthquake struck Kalat district in Balochistan and its adjacent regions, causing tremors that led to widespread panic among residents, who swiftly evacuated their homes.
According to the National Seismological Center, the earthquake registered a magnitude of 4.4 on the Richter scale. Its epicenter was situated 43 kilometers southeast of Kalat, and the seismic activity originated at a depth of 40 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface.
While the tremors created a moment of apprehension and anxiety, fortunately, no casualties or property damage have been reported thus far. Local authorities have confirmed that the district administration is actively monitoring the situation, and emergency response teams have been placed on high alert to address any unforeseen developments.
