Early Monday morning, an earthquake’s tremors were felt in several cities across Pakistan. Strong shocks were experienced in Islamabad and surrounding areas of Punjab, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Mandi Bahauddin, Sarai Alamgir, and Sargodha.
The tremors were also felt in Daska, Chakwal, Choha Saidan Shah, Kallar Syedan, and Safdarabad. Residents in Kallar Kahar, Gujrat, Kharian, Gujar Khan, Phalia, Khanqah Dogran, and nearby towns also reported feeling the quake.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, tremors were recorded in Charsadda, Swat, Dir, Buner, and Kohat. The earthquake was also felt in Mardan, Mansehra, Battagram, Torghar, and other areas. The shocks reached Nowshera, Khyber, Landi Kotal, North Waziristan, Miranshah, and Hangu. Tremors were also experienced in Mirpur and surrounding parts of Azad Kashmir, as well as across Gilgit-Baltistan, including Ghizer. According to the seismic monitoring center, the earthquake measured 5.4 in magnitude.
