Hundreds of Pakistani and Indian workers in Dubai recently celebrated Eid ul Adha together, participating in a grand event that featured winning opportunities for luxury cars, gold bars, cash prizes, and return flight tickets. This celebration notably underscored Dubai’s global standing as a hub of tolerance and extravagance.
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), a leading government entity in Dubai, orchestrated this event under the theme “Let’s Celebrate Eid Together.” The initiative aimed to honor the blue-collar workforce, whose substantial contributions are vital to the city’s rapid development.
During the occasion, Major General Obaid Muhair Bin Suroor, Assistant Director General of Dubai’s GDRFA, remarked: “This event serves as a tribute to the dedicated labor community whose hard work propels Dubai’s success. Our objective is to convey our gratitude and provide them with a memorable Eid celebration, filled with joy and a sense of inclusion.”
The festivity, held in the Al Quoz area, gathered over 42,000 workers representing various nationalities, including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.
