The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has successfully dismantled a sophisticated criminal gang that was using modern technology to smuggle drugs across major cities in Punjab.
Following intelligence-based operations in Rawalpindi and Lahore, the ANF arrested members of the gang. During the raids, authorities seized 9 kilograms of heroin, the drone used for smuggling, and other related technical equipment.
According to an ANF spokesperson, the investigation took a significant turn with the discovery that the suspects were also illegally manufacturing drones in Lahore.
Acting on this information, the ANF conducted a targeted operation in Lahore’s Allama Iqbal Town. This raid led to the recovery of several more advanced drones. This development highlights a disturbing trend and a new challenge for law enforcement, as criminal networks increasingly use advanced technology for their operations.
