Reportedly, Drake has been “trying to get Jennifer Lopez interested in him romantically” ever since her separation from Ben Affleck.
An insider revealed to RadarOnline.com that the 38-year-old rapper is fully prepared to impress the Atlas actress after her split with the filmmaker.
“Drake has been attempting to win her over romantically from the moment he learned Ben had left her – he has simply been taking a patient approach,” the source stated.
The confidant further told the outlet, “He didn’t want to come on too strong and scare her away, so he really emphasized being a supportive friend.”
“They have been exchanging text messages for nearly a year. While the content wasn’t entirely innocent, he didn’t pressure her,” a tipster added.
Another insider disclosed to the outlet that the “U My Everything” hitmaker has been attempting to persuade Jennifer with presents and flowers.
“He has really been making a strong effort, but so far, he hasn’t progressed beyond exchanging suggestive texts,” the source explained. “He is becoming frustrated and feels like he might now be considered just a friend.”
The insider added that Drake “would have dismissed this by now and stopped wasting his time, but she is one of his long-time crushes, so he doesn’t want to give up.”
