The anticipated summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, which was scheduled to take place in Hungary, has been abruptly canceled. According to news agencies, the diplomatic effort failed after tense phone calls between US and Russian negotiators were marred by “bitterness,” which ultimately spoiled the arrangements.
This high-stakes meeting, which had only been announced last week, has now collapsed before it could begin, dashing hopes for dialogue.
Alongside this cancellation, President Trump highlighted his other diplomatic plans, stating he would “talk about many things” with the President of China in two weeks and that “we are going to do good work” in that discussion.
In the same context, he also made a claim regarding his term, stating he “stopped 8 wars, including a war between Pakistan and India.”
