Dinner in Honor of Zulfiqar Halepoto in Dallas Brings Together Mayor, Community Leaders, and Distinguished Guests

Dallas: A grand Meet & Greet Dinner was hosted by prominent DFW Pakistani community leader Iftikhar Saeed, popularly known as Ifti, in honor of renowned Sindhi intellectual Zulfiqar Halepoto. The evening proved to be not only a memorable gathering for the DFW community but also opened new doors for collaboration, leadership, and future growth.
The event was attended by Richardson Mayor Amir Omar along with distinguished personalities from various walks of life, including community leaders, successful business executives, young political activists, and social workers. Guests from across the DFW metroplex praised the evening as a true symbol of unity and solidarity within the community.
Speaking on the occasion, Zulfiqar Halepoto urged the Pakistani diaspora to respect the laws of the country they reside in and to guide and support new immigrants.
“The Pakistani community in Dallas is exceptionally vibrant and active,” he said. “Coming here, I don’t feel like I’m far from Pakistan.”
He highlighted the importance of such gatherings in strengthening mutual cooperation and fostering a collective vision for the community’s development and future.
Mayor Amir Omar of Richardson, in his address, noted that reaching higher public offices in the United States requires unwavering dedication, consistent effort, and community service.
“It’s never an easy journey,” he remarked. “You have to move forward step by step, proving your commitment to social and political service. Our community members have already demonstrated remarkable leadership in business, and that same spirit can lead them to success in public service as well.”
Guests praised Iftikhar Saeed for his tireless efforts in uniting the community and described him as a valuable asset. They acknowledged his role in bringing people together and providing platforms for dialogue and collaboration.
The evening also featured discussions on APPAC’s vision, mutual cooperation, and the exchange of fresh ideas to strengthen leadership within the community. Participants expressed their commitment to continuing such events in the future to build stronger connections between community leaders and the public, paving the way for growth and progress.
