Diljit Dosanjh’s popular Dil-luminati tour, which has captivated fans worldwide, has once again landed in controversy.
The singer’s team faces legal challenges in Chandigarh after being accused of violating noise pollution norms during a concert. Authorities allege that the event exceeded permissible noise levels, disrupting nearby residential areas.
According to an Indian newspaper, the concert’s sound levels in Chandigarh ranged from 76.1 to 93.1 decibels, surpassing the local limit of 75 decibels.
The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation is expected to issue a notice to the concert organizers, including Dosanjh’s team, with a potential fine of approximately $18,000.
This isn’t the first time Diljit’s Dil-luminati tour has faced legal scrutiny. In September, a law student filed a legal notice against the singer and his organizers, alleging ticket price manipulation in violation of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Additionally, in Telangana, the state government prohibited Diljit from performing songs referencing alcohol, drugs, or violence, forcing him to modify his lyrics during concerts.
Another controversy arose in Chandigarh with the creation of a Judges Lounge, where around 300 VIP passes were reportedly distributed to judges and their families.
Despite these setbacks, Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-luminati tour remains one of the most successful musical events in recent months, drawing massive crowds and significant attention.
