Muzaffargarh, Pakistan: The colorful spectacle of the 10th annual Thal Jeep Rally, a challenging test of skill and endurance in Pakistan’s deserts, has successfully concluded. Faisal Shadi Khel emerged victorious, claiming the title in the highly competitive Prepared Category.
The Prepared Category races took place on Sunday, featuring a total of 37 racers, including two courageous female competitors, who navigated the sandy terrain. Despite intense focus on seasoned drivers like Sahibzada Sultan and Nadir Magsi, neither of the veterans managed to secure the top spot this year. Faisal Shadi Khel completed the demanding 200-kilometer track in a remarkable time of 2 hours, 10 minutes, and 18 seconds. Nadir Magsi finished second with a time of 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 57 seconds, and Muhammad Raza Saeed secured the third position.
Salma Khan Triumphs in Women’s Category: The Women’s Prepared Category also saw a tough contest. Salma Khan finished first, completing the track in the fastest time. She competed against Deena Patel, whose navigator was German national Andrew. Salma Khan completed the distance in 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 20 seconds.
Racers universally praised the Thal Jeep Rally as an exceptional sports event. Due to the event falling on a weekend, a large number of spectators gathered to enjoy the thrilling competition. Prizes for the winners across all categories were distributed at the Circuit House in Muzaffargarh.
