Authorities said were searching on Clear Creek near Hartlee Field Road and the Natural Heritage Center.
About 8 p.m., officials stopped searching for the day because of swift water and the lack of sunlight. The search will resume Wednesday morning, officials said.
No additional information was available from the Denton fire or police departments.
