Sterling K. Brown appears to be so determined to attend the 2025 Emmy Awards that he is willing to delay his own surgery. The actor, who suffered a tear in his Achilles tendon, shared a video on Instagram where he described the moment the injury occurred, saying it “felt like somebody stomped on the back of [his] heel.”
He clarified that he wasn’t doing anything “super dangerous” at the time. When the incident happened, he initially thought someone had run into him and was waiting for an apology, only to realize no one was close enough to have done so.
The actor even made a joke at his own expense, quipping that “the injuries where nobody touches you are usually, probably the most serious ones.” He went on to explain that he needs surgery but will wait until after the Emmys. This will allow him to “motivate [himself] and go and try to celebrate with [his] cast and the producers of Paradise because we got recognized.”
