HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Get ready for a hot week ahead! An upper level high will center itself over Texas keeping the state hot and dry.
Today will start with temperatures in the 70s but highs will again rise up into the mid to upper 90s. Heat index values are expected to top out just above 100.
How hot will it get this week?
Hot enough to challenge records by Thursday. Temps will soar to the middle and upper 90s this week. And the humidity will be high so a Heat Advisory at some point is a possibility.
When is our next chance for rain?
The next chance comes this weekend as a weak front approaches SE Texas. At this time, it looks like rain chances will be slight with just a 20% in for Saturday and Sunday.
Is there anything worth watching in the tropics?
