Crystal McKinney, who filed a lawsuit against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in May 2024 alleging she was drugged and sexually assaulted, has now been named in a similar complaint against film producer Harvey Weinstein, 73.
The amended complaint, filed on May 30 and initially submitted in February 2025, accuses Weinstein of raping McKinney and a friend in a Manhattan hotel room in 2003. According to the filing, as reported by People Magazine, McKinney was contacted by an unnamed modeling company executive via phone call for a business meeting with Weinstein at a popular West Village lounge in the evening.
McKinney stated that she attended with a fellow modeling friend and roommate, hoping her friend could also be considered for an acting role. Once the meeting commenced at the lounge, Weinstein allegedly “repeatedly told them that he wanted to get to know both of them better so he could see their ‘real selves.'” McKinney claimed that Weinstein suggested relocating the meeting to “discuss potential acting roles” to his residence, as the lounge was “too loud and crowded.”
Upon reaching the hotel room, the film producer allegedly “plied” them with alcohol, ordering several bottles of “Boulevardier and Dom Pérignon” and “vodka cocktails,” according to the complaint. At one point, Weinstein reportedly groped McKinney’s upper body and “tore at her tank top,” causing drinks to spill on her shirt. The complaint detailed that her friend joined her in the bathroom for assistance, at which point Weinstein also “barged” in and “demanded the women strip and take a bath with him” before exposing himself.
McKinney stated that she and her friend “complied with his request” as they felt “backed into a corner and feared that he would retaliate against them if they refused his sexual advances.” The complainant further alleged that the producer “raped” her and her friend before he “abruptly left the hotel room.”
Weinstein’s earlier 2020 conviction for rape and sexual assault—which resulted in a 23-year prison sentence—was overturned in April 2024 by the New York Court of Appeals. The court ruled he did not receive a fair trial because women uninvolved in the specific charges were permitted to testify. He is currently serving jail time on Rikers Island due to his 2022 convictions for sex crimes charges in California.
