KARACHI, Pakistan— In an effort to streamline the hosting of international cricket events in Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a significant revision to the schedule for the upcoming Tri-Nation T20 Tournament. This move is part of the board’s continuous administrative efforts to make cricket events more efficient and successful.
According to the PCB, all matches in the series will now be held exclusively in Rawalpindi between November 18th and 29th. The previous schedule had planned for the matches to be played in both Rawalpindi and Lahore from November 17th to 29th.
The tournament is set to feature the host team Pakistan along with Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
The PCB stated that the change in schedule was made due to operational reasons, following consultation and mutual agreement with the participating cricket boards. This decision underscores the board’s serious efforts to simplify the logistics of hosting international competitions in the country.
It is pertinent to note that the PCB had previously also altered the schedule for the ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka. The second ODI is now set for November 14th instead of the 13th, and the third ODI will be played on November 16th instead of the 15th. These adjustments highlight both the intensity of Pakistan’s current cricket season and the administrative challenges involved.
