Lahore, 5 January – In a concerted effort to curb crime and vandalism in Lahore, the Police Department launched a massive operation on the sixth day of the current week. According to Dolphin Police’s spokesperson, a total of 77 suspects were apprehended from various areas of the city during the operation.
Commissioner Lahore Division, Marrium Khan, has announced that aerial firing and kite-flying will be strictly prohibited in Lahore before February 6th. The police spokesperson revealed that 70 vandals were arrested from Defense, Mall Road, Canal Road, Jail Road, Bandar Road, and other areas. Seven suspects involved in aerial firing and kite-flying were arrested from Factory Area and Shera Kot.
The police seized three pistols, kites, and door locks from the possession of the suspects. SP Dolphin Akhtar Nawaz assured that operations against aerial firing, vandalism, and kite-flying will continue unabated. He emphasized that the city’s residents’ safety will be ensured at all costs.
