Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir declared on Saturday that terrorists, their facilitators, and supporters will face indiscriminate pursuit and be brought to justice.
According to details, General Asim Munir visited the Corps Headquarters in Peshawar, where he received a detailed briefing on the prevailing security situation and ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
He also attended the funeral prayers for the fallen soldiers at Bannu Garrison, paying tribute to the unwavering bravery and resolve of the security forces.
As per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief visited injured personnel at the Combined Military Hospital in Bannu. General Munir stated that the security forces are courageously confronting the Indian-sponsored group, Fitna-Al-Khawarij.
He affirmed that the people of Pakistan remain committed to the complete eradication of terrorism.

Earlier, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir delivered a powerful address at the commissioning parade of the 123rd Midshipman and 31st Short Service Commission Course at the Pakistan Naval Academy, reaffirming Pakistan’s resolve to safeguard its sovereignty and national interests in the face of regional threats.
“It is an honour for me to review the magnificent passing-out parade of our maritime warriors,” the army chief remarked, commending the cadets’ exceptional discipline and enthusiasm. “The cadets’ confident demeanor today reflects the high standards of training at the Pakistan Naval Academy.”
He also extended congratulations to the award-winning cadets for their outstanding achievements and offered special felicitations to the graduating cadets from friendly nations including Turkey, Bahrain, Iraq, Palestine, and Djibouti.
Addressing the newly commissioned officers, Field Marshal Munir stated: “You are about to become part of the Pakistan Navy – a force known for its strong military ethics, superior skills, and unparalleled professional traditions. I urge you to continuously strive to enhance your operational readiness.”
He noted the rapidly evolving nature of naval warfare and underscored the necessity for Pakistan to maintain a strong, modern, and effective maritime force.
13 Soldiers Martyred in Cowardly Terrorist Attack in North Waziristan
In a cowardly terrorist attack in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, 13 security personnel were martyred after an explosive-laden vehicle targeted a convoy, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Saturday.
According to ISPR, the attack was orchestrated by Indian-sponsored terrorists, who attempted to target the military convoy with a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED).
Despite efforts by security forces to thwart the attack, one vehicle was hit, leading to the martyrdom of 13 soldiers, the statement confirmed.
