Amid the frosty weather, Quetta’s citizens embraced the cold by savoring the traditional Balochi sajji.
Crowds flocked to the food streets with their loved ones to enjoy the delicious and rich flavors of sajji, undeterred by the chilly temperatures.
A shopkeeper explained the preparation process, saying, “The meat is roasted over coal to create juicy sajji.”
Mohammad Abid, a sajji maker with 30 years of experience, remarked, “The salty and flavorful sajji is a proud tradition of Balochistan.”
Food enthusiasts shared their admiration for the delicacy. One said, “Sajji, seasoned with black pepper and dry mango powder, has its own class.”
The prices for mutton sajji ranged from Rs2600 to 3000, while chicken sajji was available for Rs1200.
