Cher is reportedly turning her attention to the well-being of her son, Elijah Blue Allman, amidst concerns that he is struggling with addiction once again. Cher shares Elijah with her ex-husband, Gregg Allman, to whom she was married from 1975 to 1979.
This shift in focus follows months during which Cher was reportedly preoccupied with her partner, Alexander “A.E.” Edwards.
RadarOnline.com recently resurfaced previous comments made by the legendary singer about her “complicated” relationship with her son. In 2024, Cher described their connection as “bizarre,” stating, “He and I have such a bizarre relationship. We’ve had so many strange moments… I don’t really understand him. Somehow, Elijah and I kind of talk through osmosis.” At that time, she reportedly felt she had “no other choice” regarding their dynamic.
A source close to the family has indicated that Elijah is struggling to overcome addiction again, and Cher is taking a “tough” approach with him. “She knows that unless Elijah wants to help himself, treatment will not be successful,” the source added. “She’s hoping and praying this near-death experience will be the rock-bottom moment for him to finally see sense and get his act together.”
