HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A man is now facing charges after allegedly stabbing a family member with scissors during an argument on Monday.
The Houston Police Department reported that 42-year-old Michael Edward Banks has been charged with aggravated assault of a family member.
The incident occurred around 1:15 p.m. at The Life at Grand Oaks, an apartment complex near De Soto Street and Antoine Drive.
The 20-year-old victim was transported to the hospital with stab wounds and is in stable condition, according to police.
Authorities revealed that Banks visited the apartment and got into an argument with the victim, which escalated to him stabbing her with a pair of scissors.
Banks was arrested without incident and booked into the Harris County Jail.
