Meanwhile, rehearsals for the ceremony are in full swing, with the Pakistan Air Force participating in preparations with a breathtaking fly-past, ensuring a grand start to the event.
As Lahore gets ready to welcome the world, the Champions Trophy 2025 is set for a thrilling beginning. In addition to Lahore, the cricket festival will also light up stadiums in Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Dubai.
The tournament will officially commence on February 19 (Wednesday) with the opening match in the port city of Karachi between Pakistan and New Zealand, following a brief ceremony at the National Bank Cricket Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Indian team has arrived in Dubai, where Bangladesh is already in training for the mega event. The two sides will clash on February 20.
Before that, the Bangladesh Tigers will face Pakistan’s Shaheens in a practice match on February 17, while Afghanistan will play their second practice match against New Zealand in Karachi today.
However, the most anticipated showdown remains the high-stakes clash between arch-rivals Pakistan and India, set for February 23 in Dubai.
