Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 8th round of the Pakistan-KSA Joint Military Cooperation Committee (JMCC) meeting.
During the visit, he met with Major General Talal Bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Assistant Minister of Defence, and General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of General Staff of Saudi Arabia.
The discussions covered strategic and security issues, the evolving regional environment, and efforts to strengthen bilateral defence cooperation.
The JMCC meeting was co-chaired by General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, where both sides reviewed the ongoing collaboration between the Armed Forces of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Key topics included mutual exchange programmes, training initiatives, and various defence-related activities.
Both military leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing defence and security cooperation between the two nations.
The Saudi military leadership praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their significant sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
Upon his arrival at the Armed Forces Headquarters, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza was presented with a “Guard of Honour” by a well-turned-out military contingent.
