Pakistan Cricket Team Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi has publicly voiced his complete confidence in the team’s vital players, asserting that star batters Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan have “always delivered performance” at the highest level, making their presence in the squad essential.
During a press conference in Rawalpindi, Shaheen Afridi emphasized the critical role of the team structure, stating that the presence of senior players is necessary while acknowledging that the junior players are currently showcasing excellent form.
Regarding Babar Azam’s much-anticipated recent century, the captain admitted that the team had been waiting for the star batter’s milestone for some time. He highly praised Babar’s dedication, stating that the former captain maintained self-belief, worked hard, and continued his highly focused preparation during net practice sessions, which paid off on the field.
Afridi also highlighted the consistent performance of Muhammad Rizwan, noting that the wicketkeeper-batter successfully achieved the targets set for him in both matches.
