Cambridge International Education (CIE) has announced that students who attempted any of the three leaked papers in the June 2025 exam series will be granted the opportunity to retake them free of charge in November.
The specific papers affected are AS & A Level Mathematics Paper 12, AS & A Level Mathematics Paper 42, and AS & A Level Computer Science Paper 22. CIE has stated that it is providing further details directly to students who took one or more of these papers.
The examination board confirmed that the results for these syllabuses will be issued as scheduled. However, to ensure fairness for all affected candidates, it is also offering free syllabus entry resits for the November 2025 exam series.
“We have sent a message to all the candidates and their families through schools, and will provide further information following the release of our June 2025 exam series results. Candidates are asked to contact their schools, should they have further questions,” CIE stated.
Last month, CIE had already confirmed a partial leak of its exam papers after concluding its investigation into the matter and submitting its report to the Federal Ministry of Education. The report indicated that the investigation found credible evidence of malpractice.
According to the report, portions of three exam papers were shared shortly before the respective examinations. Specifically, one question was leaked before the A-level Mathematics Paper 12 exam, parts of two questions were leaked before the AS- and A-level Mathematics Paper 42 exam, and parts of one question were leaked before the AS- and A-level Computer Science Paper 22.
