Police reported that the bullet-riddled bodies of a woman and a man were discovered near the China Port area of Karachi. According to law enforcement, the victims appeared to have been shot to death.
Upon receiving the information, Boat Basin police promptly arrived at the scene and immediately called in the Crime Scene Unit to gather evidence. Investigators recovered two spent 9mm bullet casings from the crime scene.
“A mobile phone was also found with the male victim,” police stated.
Police confirmed the identities of the deceased, noting that both belonged to the same village in Gujranwala. The DIG South also corroborated that both the man and the woman had been shot and killed.
The bodies were transferred to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.
This latest incident occurs weeks after the severely decomposed body of model and actress Humaira Asghar Ali was found inside her rented apartment in the Defence area of the port city.
Despite nearly two weeks having passed, investigators remain without answers regarding whether her death was natural or unnatural.
The recent chemical examination report has further deepened the mystery, as it ruled out the presence of any toxic substances, including sedatives, narcotics, or poisons. The absence of conclusive findings from both medical and police investigations has left the case shrouded in uncertainty.
