Buckingham Palace has shared an exciting update as King Charles and Queen Camilla prepare for their upcoming tour to Australia and Samoa.
On Wednesday, the royal family released new photos of Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie from a recent engagement. The accompanying statement read, “The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh had a wonderful afternoon yesterday, meeting guests at a Garden Party at Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland.” It added, “Guests were invited in recognition of their work to make a positive impact in the local community.”
This announcement follows news of the monarch’s upcoming tour, scheduled from Friday, October 18 to Saturday, October 26. According to a royal family spokesperson, the King and Queen will “undertake an Autumn Tour,” which will include a Royal Visit to Australia, a State Visit to the Independent State of Samoa, and participation in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2024.
Significantly, this will be King Charles’s first international engagement since his cancer diagnosis in February 2024.
