Suga of BTS, who recently faced backlash due to misinformation regarding his DUI case, has issued a more comprehensive apology to clarify the situation. According to Soompi, the 31-year-old rapper took to Weverse on August 25 to address the confusion caused by his initial statement.
In his apology, Suga expressed deep remorse, saying, “It is with feelings of shame that I apologize once again to you all. I apologize deeply for disappointing and hurting my fans and everyone who loves me through my wrongdoings.”
He explained that on the night of August 6, he made the mistake of riding an electric scooter on the sidewalk after drinking. Suga, whose real name is Min Yoon-gi, admitted that his hasty apology on August 7 failed to adequately address the situation, leading to further confusion.
“Everything is my fault,” Suga acknowledged, admitting that his carelessness has caused distress for those who care about him. He also extended his apologies to his fellow BTS members—Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, J-Hope, RM, and V—as well as to the BTS ARMY, for the disappointment his actions have caused.
Suga concluded his message by once again expressing his sincere regret, stating, “Finally, I once again bow my head and sincerely apologize for causing a controversy and disappointing many people.”
This new letter follows Suga’s public apology at a police station on August 23, where he bowed before the media to express his remorse.
