In an interview, Kapoor revealed that when he was still an up-and-coming actor, his parents were shocked by his on-screen behavior in one of his early films. They reportedly asked him to leave the theater after watching the film’s first scene, in which he was shown pulling a woman’s dupatta.
Kapoor’s parents were unhappy with the image he was projecting on screen and felt that he was playing roles that were not suitable for him. They scolded him, saying, “Why are you playing such roles? Why are you working with such people?” Kapoor, however, was determined to pursue his acting career and told his parents that he had been born to act and that he couldn’t change his on-screen persona.
